Outside the Office

Outside of my academic work, I have many years of experience working with llamas and alpacas. This long-standing interest has shaped my commitment to public engagement, education, and mentorship, values that also inform my approach to research and teaching. I remain active in animal-assisted therapy, youth education, and fiber arts, and I occasionally contribute to outreach efforts that connect animal care with broader conversations about science, agriculture, and rural communities.
